About the Coalition

The Open Coalition for Research Workflows' mission is to bring together developers of workflow infrastructure, users and data producers to identify challenges and opportunities for enhancing workflow environments, including the documentation, software, tools and related resources.

Initially, we plan to conduct three workshops that engage workflow developers and current and potential users to establish processes to improve workflow environments for interoperability and to benefit diverse community requirements to enhance research and workplace productivity, and develop strategies for sustaining these efforts beyond the award period. In addition to the three workshops, regular discussions and interactions will be fostered through monthly conference calls, quarterly virtual meetings, and an online discussion forum.
